Pocket Tanks is what everyone wants in a game. It is a small download, easily runnable, fun, and engrossing game. This game involved 1 or 2 players playing as tanks shooting at each other trying to score the most points. This may sound boring but there are many different varieties of weapons and levels with variables thrown in if ou wish to make this game well worth the 15 dollars for the deluxe version with all the weapons.

This game has no story it is just a straight turn based strategy/arcade style game. No points added or deducted from this section.
Graphics: 10/10
For the size of the game and what the developer was trying to do this game looks great. Sure it's not as pretty as an XBOX 360 but thats because it was designed to look 2D and with what they had to work with they did an excellent job. All the colors you would want to see are in this game if you have the full version, otherwise your missing out on some very nice looking weapons like the gravity well.
Controls: 10/10
Outstanding controls, everything is well designed physics wise and if you throw in the wind variable it makes it that much harder to make an accurate shot. Elevation, distance, direction, it all matters and you have a power meter and a angle meter to overcome these obstacles. You can either increase it by digits or free aim with the mouse instead of trying to use a digital shot. Either way it works great.
Depth: 9/10
Great game, and I mean great. There are so many weapons, (over 120 I believe) that you will be trying to figure out how they all work with each other for a long time. Also with the terrain that you can be thrown on it makes it even more interesting how you are going to use say a laser if you have no direct shot. Not only is the dirt destroyable but you can also make it sticky or bouncy depending on what you do.
Multiplayer: 9/10
Well no online yet but there is a LAN game between two people. This is good if you don't want your opponent seeing what your going to fire until the last minute. Either way against a CPU or human this game is fun. The only bad part is the CPU has a ridiculous accurate shot 90% of the time.
Replayability: 10/10
There is never a battle that will be repeated regardless of the situation at hand. This game probably has the best replayability I have seen in a long time.
Overall: 9/10
The only thing I can say that is annoying is the computer accuracy but that is to be expected in a small game like this. However, over the years they have been constantly improving this game and it keeps getting better and better. I believe the developer is preparing to release yet another expansion weapon pack for this game to add even more weapons to the game. I would say for the price and the fun that this game is well worth t.
